Barb Golder, Ula Konczewska, Gavin Noble, Audra dePrisco, and Sue Rockwood will all be returning to Greenwood’s faculty in 2010-2011. In addition, Michelle Dennen will be returning as our music teacher after a brief hiatus. We also welcome a new art teacher, Andrea Cotner. Returning to Greenwood next year as our music teacher, Michelle Dennen brings many years of teaching experience with her, including 7 here at Greenwood Friends. Michelle maintained her connection with Greenwood during the past school year by offering private lessons to many of our students here at school. She is an accomplished musician with a Bachelors of Music Education from Susquehanna University. Michelle lives in Eagles Mere and her children Collin and Michaela are both Greenwood graduates. Welcome back, Michelle!

We welcome Andrea Marks Cotner to Greenwood as our art teacher. Andrea is well known to families who frequented her After School Art program at the Bloomsburg Children’s Museum (2005-2008) where she offered a differentiated approach to teaching with a variety of media. Andrea developed and taught an After School Fine Arts program in Danville as well before taking some time off to be a full-time mom to two daughters, Abra and Janie. Andrea graduated from The Colorado College where she studied English and Studio Art. She continued her education at NYU in Paris, where she focused on Art History and Color Theory and then moved to Manhattan, where she painted at the Art Students League of NYC and the NY Studio School. Andrea now lives in Riverside with her husband, Bryan, and their girls. She looks forward to joining the Greenwood faculty next fall and we are delighted that she has agreed to come aboard.
